Jenna May Viney grew up on a farm in the South African Natal Midlands with parents who spent their life cooking and entertaining for family and friends; and from an early age it was clear that she had a passion and flare for food. After obtaining a food diploma from Elsa van der Nest Culinary Academy in Cape Town she went on and trained at Cape Town’s top restaurant Ginga with acclaimed Chef Mike Bassett.
Jenna then moved into the catering world and worked at Dish Food and Social for 3 years, gaining an established reputation in the food industry as a creative, passionate foodie, with an energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
Based in Cape Town but focussing now on extreme luxury travel she spends her life between Antarctica and Russia, running the logistics, managing and cooking at various camps.
Her seven years experience in the most diverse conditions enables her to anticipate and solve any problems that arise in unpredictable situations, thereby ensuring the smooth running of all she does and she lives by the motto, “limitations inspire the imagination”. Jenna is an energetic, creative, hard working perfectionist for whom entertaining is a way of life. Travel and cooking, two passions combined - the ultimate in work - makes it exciting, challenging and fun.
Outside of work, Jenna’s craving for adventure takes her to weird and wonderful places around the world and while home she enjoys entertaining friends, laughing and drinking tequila!
